বাংলাদেশ উপ-হাইকমিশন কলকাতায় উদযাপিত হলো বঙ্গবন্ধুর কনিষ্ঠ পুত্র শহিদ শেখ রাসেল-এর জন্মবার্ষিকী

রাজকুমার দাস : বিশ্বের অবিসংবাদিত নেতা, সর্বকালের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ বাঙালি বাংলাদেশের জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান-এর কনিষ্ঠ পুত্র শহিদ শেখ রাসেল এর জন্মদিন উপলক্ষে কলকাতাস্থ বাংলাদেশ উপ-হাইকমিশন এর বাংলাদেশ গ্যালারিতে শ্রদ্ধার্ঘ্য নিবেদন, প্রামাণ্যচিত্র প্রদর্শন, বানী পাঠ, সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান ও আলোচনা সভার আয়োজন করা হয়। শেখ রাসেল দিবস উপলক্ষে অনাথ ও দুস্থ শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে বিতরণ করা হয় খাবার ।

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shaheed Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the undisputed leader of the world, the greatest Bangalee of all time, a tribute was paid to the Bangladesh Gallery of The Deputy High Commission of Bangladesh in Kolkata. On the occasion of Sheikh Russel Day, food was distributed among orphans and distressed students.

আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতেই বাংলাদেশ উপ-হাইকমিশনের সকল কর্মকর্তা শহিদ শেখ রাসেল এর প্রতিকৃতিতে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ করেন। এরপর শহিদ শেখ রাসেল এর জীবনের উপর এক আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়। এ ছাড়া কলকাতাস্থ বাংলাদেশ উপ-হাইকমিশনের কাউন্সেলর (শিক্ষা ও ক্রীড়া) রিয়াজুল ইসলাম এবং প্রথম সচিব (বাণিজ্যিক) মোঃ শামসুল আরিফ যথাক্রমে মহামান্য রাষ্ট্রপতি ও মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বাণী পাঠ করেন। অনুষ্ঠানে স্বাগত বক্তব্য রাখেন মান্যবর উপ-হাইকমিশনার আন্দালিব ইলিয়াস। সঞ্চালকের দায়িত্বে ছিলেন শেখ মারেফাত তারিকুল ইসলাম, দ্বিতীয় সচিব (রাজনৈতিক)। আলোচনা সভায় মিশনের সকল কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীসহ কলকাতার গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিবর্গ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

At the outset of the discussion, all the officials of the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission placed wreaths at the portrait of Shaheed Sheikh Russel. Later, a discussion program was organized on the life of Shaheed Sheikh Russel. Besides, Counsellor (Education and Sports) of Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata Reazul Islam and First Secretary (Commercial) Md. Shamsul Arif read out the messages of the Hon’ble President and Hon’ble Prime Minister respectively. Hon’ble Deputy High Commissioner Andaleeb Ilyas delivered the welcome address. Sheikh Marefat Tariqul Islam, second secretary (political) was the moderator. All the officials and employees of the mission and other dignitaries of Kolkata were present in the discussion.

আলোচনা সভায় বঙ্গবন্ধু গবেষক সৌগত চট্টোপাধ্যায় বলেন,  জন্ম হয়েছিল এক অশান্ত সময়ে যে সময় পরিণত করে তুলেছিল শহীদ শেখ রাসেলকে তার বয়সের তুলনায় অনেক বেশি। পারিবারিক পরম্পরায় তিনি সেই বয়সেই যেন বার্টান্ড রাসেলের দর্শনকে ছুঁয়ে এগিয়ে চলছিলেন। কিন্তু মৃত্যুর  শারীরিক যন্ত্রনার আগে তার প্রিয়জনের রক্ত দেখানোর যন্ত্রনা থেকেও তাকে নিস্তার দেওয়া হয়নি। আগামীর শিশুদের একটা আনন্দময় পৃথিবী দেওয়াই হোক শেখ রাসেল দিবস পালনের লক্ষ্য। প্রথম সচিব (প্রেস) রঞ্জন সেন বলেন, বঙ্গবন্ধু কন্যা মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা যখন পিতার অর্জনকে অনন্য উচ্চতায় আসীন করার মাধ্যমে পিতৃত্বের দায়শোধের অনন্য উপমা সৃষ্টি করেন তখন বলাই বাহুল্য পিতার সবচেয়ে আদরের সর্ব কনিষ্ঠ, বুদ্ধিদীপ্ত, অদম্য শিশু রাসেল পিতার অর্জনকে কত উচ্চতায় নিতে পারতেন, ঘাতকরা সেটা বুঝেছিল। তাইতো ১৫ই আগস্টের সর্বশেষ শহিদের নাম শেখ রাসেল।

In the discussion, Bangabandhu researcher Saugata Chattopadhyay said that he was born in a turbulent time that turned Shaheed Sheikh Russel much older than his age. In the family tradition, he was moving forward at that age by touching the philosophy of Bertrand Russell. But before the physical pain of death, he was not relieved of the pain of showing the blood of his loved ones. The goal of celebrating Sheikh Russel Day is to give a happy world to the children of tomorrow. First Secretary (Press) Ranjan Sen said, “When The Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu, created a unique analogy of repaying the responsibility of fatherhood by bringing her father’s achievements to a unique height, it is needless to say that the killers understood how high Russell, the youngest, intelligent, indomitable child of the father’s most cherished, could have taken the father’s achievement. Therefore, the name of the last martyr of August 15 is Sheikh Russell.

উপ-হাইকমিশনার আন্দালিব ইলিয়াস বলেন, শেখ রাসেল একটি স্বপ্নের নাম, যে স্বপ্ন আজকের বাংলাদেশ। একটি ছোট ছেলে, যাকে নিয়ে সবার আশা ছিলো যে, সে বড় হয়ে দেশ গড়বে, তাকে সে সুযোগ দেয়া হয়নি। নির্মম বুলেট শুধু তাকেই কেড়ে নেইনি, কেড়ে নিয়েছিলো বাংলাদেশের স্বপ্নকেও, কিন্তু বাঙালীকে দাবায় রাখা যায় না। মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার নেতৃত্বে বাঙালী সেই স্বপ্ন পূরণের পথে, বাস্তবায়নের পথে এগিয়ে চলছে, এগিয়ে যাবে। কবিতা আর গানে শহিদ শেখ রাসেলের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি জানায় কলকাতায় অধ্যায়নরত বাংলাদেশী ছাত্রছাত্রীবৃন্দ। জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান-এর কনিষ্ঠ পুত্র শহিদ শেখ রাসেল এর আত্মার মাগফেরাত কামনা করে বিশেষ মোনাজাত করা হয়।

Deputy High Commissioner Andaleeb Ilyas said, “Sheikh Russel is the name of a dream, which is the dream of today’s Bangladesh. A young boy, with whom everyone hoped that he would grow up to build the country, was not given that opportunity. The ruthless bullets not only took him away, but also the dream of Bangladesh, but bengalis cannot be kept in chess. Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bengalis are moving forward on the path of fulfilling that dream, on the path of implementation. Bangladeshi students studying in Kolkata paid homage to Shaheed Sheikh Russel with poems and songs. A special munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Shaheed Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
