Chandigarh, August 29: Showcasing absolute dominance on their home turf, the athletes of Roundglass Golf Academy (RGGA) delivered spectacular performances to sweep the top honours at the IGU Chandigarh Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship 2026. The highly competitive tournament, held at the Chandigarh Golf Club from August 25 to 28, witnessed RGGA prodigies outclass a talented national field.
Leading the charge for the academy was Guntas Kaur Sandhu, who produced a scintillating display of golf to be crowned the Overall Winner across the Ladies, Category A, and Category B divisions. The RGGA standout also secured the outright winner’s trophy for the Combined A&B Girls category. Sandhu was in brilliant form throughout the 54-hole event. After opening with a solid 74, she surged to the top of the leaderboard on the second day with a spectacular 2-under-par round of 70.
She then maintained her composure in the final round, signing for a 73 to finish with an impressive aggregate score of 217. Her elite shot-making ensured she finished a commanding five strokes clear of her closest competitors in the overall standings. Adding to the academy’s triumphant week, Ojaswini Saraswat showcased remarkable consistency to capture the Category B Girls title. Building on her success as the Category C champion at this very tournament last year, Saraswat seamlessly stepped up in class.
She strung together three highly stable rounds of 75, 74, and 74 to finish with an aggregate of 223. Her clinical performance not only secured the Category B crown but also earned her the runner-up position in the fiercely contested Combined A&B category, finishing just behind her RGGA teammate.
Rounding out the stellar academy showcase was Rabab Kahlon, who demonstrated great resilience to claim the 3rd-place position in the Category B girls’ division. Kahlon recorded steady rounds of 76, 77, and 77 for a 230 total, ensuring a heavy RGGA presence on the tournament podium. This sweeping success by Sandhu, Saraswat, and Kahlon serves as a powerful testament to the elite, high-performance training ecosystem cultivated at the Roundglass Golf Academy.
