Islampur: BJP supporters staged a protest in front of the Islampur BDO office as their names did not figure in the list of houses under the housing scheme. On this day, the rally started from Islampur bus terminus to the BDO office. Supporters of BJP workers sat on a dharna in front of the office as there was no indication from any official who spoke there for a long time. Bjp workers accused the BDO and TMC workers of corruption. Bjp’s district co-secretary Surjit Sen and other leaders were present at the deputation programme. Surjit Sen’s statement revealed that the names of those who are eligible for a house have been excluded from the list. He added that some tmc brokers were left out of their names for not giving money. In the Pradhan Mantri Abas Yojana, the names of some people who have pucca roof houses have been included in the list. We are appealing to the Islampur Block Development Community Officer to conduct a proper investigation and publish the list of names of the housing scheme.

Bjp supporters demanded it. An FIR will have to be filed in the name of the administration officials who are involved in the name of Pradhan Mantri Abas Yojana. Arrangements should be made immediately to provide the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme to the applicants subject to a thorough investigation. Those who have got houses more than once or have been allocated money in the name of the house will have to do FIR in their name.
Immediately those who got houses under the Pradhan Mantri Abas Yojana in the year 2022 and 23. They have to publish the list thoroughly. In this deputation program, the Islampur police administration deployed tight security guards in front of the BDO office.
