অ্যাডামাস-এর পঠন-পাঠনের উৎকৃষ্টতা নিয়ে প্রশংসায় উচ্ছ্বসিত নোবেলজয়ী

কলকাতা, ফেব্রুয়ারি ৪, ২০২৩ – পড়ুয়াদের শিক্ষাগত উৎকৃষ্টতার জন্য ডিগ্রি এবং পদক প্রদান উপলক্ষ্যে অ্যাডামাস বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আজ অনুষ্ঠিত হল তাদের ষষ্ঠ সমাবর্তন অনুষ্ঠান। নোবেল জয়ী ক্রিস্টালোগ্রাফার অধ্যাপক (ড.) অ্যাডা ই ইয়োনাথ এদিনের অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথির আসন অলংকৃত করেন এবং সমাবর্তন ভাষণ দেন।  তিনি ওয়েইজম্যান ইনস্টিটিউট অফ সায়েন্সের বায়োমোলিকুলার স্ট্রাকচার এবং অ্যাসেম্বলির হেলেন এবং মিল্টন এ. কিমেলম্যান সেন্টারের বর্তমান পরিচালক। এছাড়াও এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ড. ভাস্কর সাহা, ভারতীয় ইমিউনোলজিস্ট;  ড. বিনায়ক সেন, শিশুরোগ বিশেষজ্ঞ এবং PUCL, ভারতীয় শাখার ভাইস-প্রেসিডেন্ট;  ডাঃ রামজি সিং, ইডি, সিইও এবং এইমস, কল্যাণীর ফিজিওলজির অধ্যাপক;  অধ্যাপক (ড.) সৈকত মৈত্র, MAKAUT-এর ভাইস-চ্যান্সেলর;  প্রফেসর সুমন্ত্র  চ্যাটার্জি, এনসিবিএস-এর সিনিয়র অধ্যাপক;  অধ্যাপক (ড.) সুরঞ্জন দাস, উপাচার্য, যাদবপুর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়;  এবং ব্রুস অ্যাডামস এবং জ্যাক অ্যাডামস, অ্যাডামস ক্রিকেট একাডেমির পরিচালক।

অ্যাডামাস বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের চ্যান্সেলর প্রফেসর (ড.) সমিত রায় বলেন, এই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বিভিন্ন জাতীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, সংস্থার সঙ্গে যোগসূত্র বজায় রেখে চলে যাতে পঠন-পাঠন ও কর্পোরেট জগৎ দুইয়ের ক্ষেত্রেই বিশ্বজগতের জ্ঞান সংগ্রহে সুযোগ-সুবিধা লাভ করতে পারে। তিনি চান, অ্যাডামাস বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রাঙ্গণ সবসময় বিভিন্ন ধরনের ইতিবাচক কার্যকলাপের মধ্যে দিয়ে উজ্জীবিত ও মুখরিত হয়ে থাকুক। প্রফেসর সমিত রায় আরও বলেন, ইতিমধ্যেই দিল্লি, মুম্বই এবং বেঙ্গালুরুতে কেরিয়ার ডেভেলপমেন্ট সেলের অধীনে বিশেষ প্লেসমেন্ট টিম আমাদের রয়েছে এবং ভবিষ্যতে খুব শীঘ্রই দুবাই, ইউকে, অস্ট্রেলিয়া এবং কানাডায় আমাদের প্লেসমেন্ট সেল সম্প্রসারণের পরিকল্পনা বাস্তবায়িত হবে।

অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখেন অধ্যাপক (ড.) সুরঞ্জন দাস এবং অধ্যাপক (ড.) সৈকত মৈত্র। এরপর স্বর্ণ ও রৌপ্য পদক এবং পিএইচ.ডি.  ডিগ্রী প্রাপকদের হাতে পুরষ্কার এবং ডিগ্রী তুলে দেন প্রধান অতিথি প্রফেসর (ড.) অ্যাডা ই ইয়োনাথ।  ইয়োনাথ ইসরায়েল-এর প্রথম মহিলা হিসেবে নোবেল পুরস্কার জয় করে ইতিহাস সৃষ্টি করেন। এমনকী মধ্যপ্রাচ্য থেকেও তিনিই প্রথম মহিলা যিনি বিজ্ঞানে নোবেল পুরস্কার জয় করেন এবং ৪৫ বছরে তিনিই প্রথম মহিলা যিনি রসায়নে নোবেল পুরস্কার পান। অনুষ্ঠানে যোগ দিয়ে প্রফেসর (ড.) অ্যাডা ই ইয়োনাথ পড়ুয়াদের উদ্দেশ্যে বলেন, জীবনে সবচেয়ে প্রধান শক্তি হল কৌতূহল। তাই জীবনে যত কৌতূহল রাখবে, ততই মসৃণ হবে আগামীর পথ। শেষে পড়ুয়াদের তিনি বলেন, নিজেদের আরোহিত জ্ঞান নিজেদের মধ্যে কেবল সীমাবদ্ধ না রেখে তা সবার মধ্যে ছড়িয়ে দিতে। পাশাপাশি সবকাজে নিজেদের মান আরও উন্নত করে জীবনে আরও এগিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য উৎসাহ জোগান এই নোবেলজয়ী।

Kolkata, February 4, 2023 : Adams University held its sixth convocation today to confer degrees and medals for their educational excellence on students. Nobel Laureate Crystallographer Professor (Dr)Ada E Yonath graced the occasion as the chief guest and delivered the convocation address.  He is the current director of the Helen and Milton A. Kimmelman Center for Biomolecular Structure and Assembly at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Dr. Bhaskar Saha, Indian immunologist was also present on the occasion;  Dr. Binayak Sen, Pediatrician and Vice-President, PUCL, India Branch;  Dr. Ramji Singh, ED, CEO and Professor of Physiology at AIIMS, Kalyani;  Professor (Dr.) Saikat Maitra, Vice-Chancellor of MAKAUT;  Prof Sumantra Chatterjee, Senior Professor, NCBS;  Professor (Dr.) Suranjan Das, Vice-Chancellor, Jadavpur University;  and Bruce Adams and Jack Adams, directors of the Adams Cricket Academy.

Professor (Dr. ) Samit Roy, Chancellor of Adams University, said that the university maintains links with various national and international universities and organizations so that it can have the opportunity to gather knowledge of the world in both the field of education and the corporate world. He wants the campus of Adams University to always be energized and entertained through various types of positive activities. “We already have special placement teams under the Career Development Cell in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru and plans to expand our placement cells in Dubai, UK, Australia and Canada will be implemented very soon in the future.

Professor (Dr) Suranjan Das and Professor (Dr) Saikat Moitra also spoke on the occasion. This was followed by gold and silver medals and Ph.D.  Professor (Dr.) Ada E. Yonath handed over the awards and degrees to the awardees as the chief guest.  Yonath created history by becoming the first woman in Israel to win the Nobel Prize. She is also the first woman from the Middle East to win the Nobel Prize in Science and the first woman in 45 years to win the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Ada E. Yonath told the students that curiosity is the biggest strength in life. So the more curious you are in life, the smoother the path to the future. At the end, he asked the students not to limit their knowledge to themselves but to spread it among all. At the same time, the Nobel laureate encourages him to move forward in life by improving his quality in everything.

Honorable chancellor and senior officials from the international relations department attended the conference organize by international association of universities IAU. I am happy to report that during this conference our chancellor was nominated as the board manager of the administrative board IAU. This is ceremony convocation held to met Adamas University. I would like to share with you my all experience and my all source about studying. No knowledge, no interaction. The most most important power is curiosity. If you are curious then life is going more interesting. And I allow myself to ask questions. The use your curiosity, the use your passion, the love to know more and to respect more. What was my reason to explain you because I was very curious. I talked about what I wish for you, and I really wish whatever you doing it will help to level you up, how could you share your knowledge by publishing.
