মালদা: রাজ্য সরকারের উদ্যোগে ভারতবর্ষের রাজধানী দিল্লিতে অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে আম উৎসব। আগামী ১৬ জুন থেকে শুরু হচ্ছে আম উৎসব চলবে একমাস ব্যাপী। দিল্লিতে অনুষ্ঠিত সেই আম উৎসবে জায়গা করে নিচ্ছে মালদার বিখ্যাত হিমসাগর, ন্যাংড়া, লক্ষণভোগ সহ আরো বেশ কিছু প্রজাতির আম। আম ছাড়াও বিভিন্ন প্রকারের আমের আচার, আমসত্ত্ব নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে এই আম উৎসবে। মালদা জেলা উদ্যানপালন দপ্তর সূত্রে জানা গেছে এই বছর দিল্লি আম উৎসবে প্রথম পর্যায়ে ২৫ মেট্রিক টন আম পাঠানোর পরিকল্পনা নেওয়া হয়েছে। গতবছর পাঠানো হয়েছিল ১২ মেট্রিক টন। এই বিষয়ে মালদা ম্যাংগো মার্চেন্ট অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতি উজ্জ্বল সাহা জানান, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্য সরকারের দিল্লিতে অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে আম উৎসব। মালদার জগৎবিখ্যাত বেশ কয়েকটি প্রজাতির আম সেখানে পাঠানোর পরিকল্পনা নেওয়া হয়েছে।
Malda: The Mango Festival is being held in Delhi, the capital of India, at the initiative of the state government. Starting from June 16, the mango festival will continue for a month. Malda’s famous himsagar, nangra, lakshmanbhog and many other varieties of mangoes are taking place in the mango festival held in Delhi. Apart from mangoes, different types of mango pickles, mangoes will be taken to this mango festival. Malda district horticulture department sources said a plan has been taken to send 25 metric tonnes of mangoes in the first phase of the Delhi Mango Festival this year. Last year, 12 metric tons were sent. In this regard, Malda Mango Merchant Association President Ujjwal Saha said that the Mango Festival is being held in Delhi of the State Government of West Bengal. Plans have been made to send several world famous varieties of mangoes from Malda there.
