মালদা:-মালদা জেলা পুলিশ ও প্রশাসনের উদ্যোগে শুরু হলো ঐতিহাসিক রামকেলি মেলা। মহাপ্রভু শ্রীচৈতন্যর মূর্তিতে মাল্যদান করে ও প্রদীপ প্রজ্জ্বলনের মধ্য দিয়ে ৫০৮ বছরের পুরনো ঐতিহ্যবাহি রামকেলি মেলার উদ্বোধন করা হল। উপস্থিত ছিলেন জেলা শাসক নিতিন সিংঘানিয়া, পুলিশ সুপার প্রদীপ কুমার যাদব, জেলা পরিষদের সভাধিপতি এটিএম রফিকুল হোসেন, প্রাক্তন মন্ত্রী তথা ইংরেজবাজার পৌরসভার চেয়ারম্যান কৃষ্ণেন্দু নারায়ণ চৌধুরী, পুরাতন মালদার চেয়ারম্যান কার্তিক ঘোষ সহ অন্যান্য আধিকারিক ও জনপ্রতিনিধিরা। ৫০৮ বছরের পুরনো মহাপ্রভু শ্রী চৈতন্য দেবের আগমনের স্মরণে মালদার গৌড়ের রামকেলি মেলা।এই মেলায় শুধু জেলার নয় দেশ বিদেশ থেকেও বহু মানুষ এই মেলায় আসেন। সরকারিভাবে তিনদিনের মেলার অনুমতি থাকলেও মেলা চলে প্রায় সাত দিন ধরে। দূরদূরান্ত থেকে মেলায় ছুটে আসেন ভক্তরা। অন্যদিকে বিভিন্ন জেলা থেকে বিভিন্ন ধরনের জিনিসপত্রের পসরা সাজিয়ে বসেন বিক্রেতারা। মেলায় দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করে মৃদঙ্গের দোকান। এর পাশাপাশি তীব্র গরমে ভেড়ার লোমের তৈরি কম্বল কিনতেও দেখা যায় দর্শনার্থীদের।
Malda:-The historic Ramkeli Mela has been started by the Malda district police and administration. The 508-year-old traditional Ramkeli Fair was inaugurated by garlanding the statue of Mahaprabhu Sri Chaitanya and lighting a lamp. District Magistrate Nitin Singhania, Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar Yadav, Zila Parishad Chairman ATM Rafiqul Hossain, former Minister and Chairman of Englishbazar Municipality Krishnendu Narayan Chowdhury, Old Malda Chairman Kartik Ghosh and other officials and public representatives were present on the occasion. Ramkeli Mela at Gaur in Malda to commemorate the arrival of 508-year-old Mahaprabhu Sri Chaitanya Dev. Many people come to this fair not only from the district but also from abroad. Although the three-day fair is officially allowed, the fair lasts for about seven days. Devotees come from far and wide. On the other hand, vendors from different districts arrange different types of goods. The pottery shop attracts attention at the fair. Along with this, visitors can also be seen buying blankets made of sheep’s hair in the scorching heat.
