গোপাল বিশ্বাস, নদীয়া : সাদা ইউনিফর্মে, বেশিরভাগ দিনেই কাদা লাগিয়ে স্কুলে পৌঁছায় ছাত্র ছাত্রীরা। হাসপাতালে যাওয়ার শর্টকাট রাস্তা হলেও, ঘুর পথেই যেতে স্বাচ্ছন্দ্য বোধ করেন এলাকাবাসী। ২০০৫ সালে তৈরি হওয়ার পর, ১৭ বছর ধরে কোন রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ নেই চার পাঁচটি পাড়ায় যাতায়াত করা প্রধান এই পথে। গ্রামের রাস্তাকেও হার মানায় শহরের এই রাস্তা।
নদীয়ার শান্তিপুর শহরের তিন নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের গোপালপুর গোলাম রহমান লেনের বাসিন্দারা এমনই নানান অভিযোগ তুললেন বেহাল রাস্তা সম্পর্কে। এলাকাবাসীর বক্তব্য দীর্ঘদিন ধরে, কাউন্সিলরকে বলেও মেলেনি ফল, হচ্ছে হবে করেই কেটে গেছে, ১৭ টা বছর। যদিও এ প্রসঙ্গে কাউন্সিলর প্রশান্ত বিশ্বাস এলাকাবাসীর সমস্যার কথা মেনে নিয়ে জানান, এর আগে একবার এই রাস্তা স্থানীয় একটি সমস্যার কারণে স্থগিত থাকে, তার পরবর্তীতে দীর্ঘস্থায়ী করোনা পরিস্থিতি এবং বিধানসভা উপনির্বাচন, পৌরসভা নানান নির্বাচনের কারণে বিলম্ব হয়। ঈদের আগে আপাতত কিছু ঘ্যাঁষ ফেলে দেওয়ার জন্য ভাইস চেয়ারম্যানের কাছে আবেদন জানিয়েছি, চেয়ারম্যান নিজে এসে দেখে গেছেন এই রাস্তা ,কথা দিয়েছেন। শীঘ্রই শুরু হবে।
