ইন্দ্রজিৎ আইচঃ ভরা কোটাল ও নিম্ন চাপের জেরে নদী বাঁধ ভেঙে প্লাবিত হয়ে গেল দক্ষিণ 24 পরগণার গোসাবা ব্লকের ছোট মোল্লাখালি গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের কালিদাসপুর সহ আশপাশের বেশ কয়েকটি গ্রাম। এরফলে সুন্দরবনের নদীগুলিতে জলের চাপ অনেকটাই বেড়ে গেছে। আতঙ্ক তৈরি হয়েছে আশপাশের গ্রামগুলির মধ্যেও। এই পরিস্থিতিতে জলবন্দি ও দুর্গত মানুষদের পাশে দাঁড়িয়েছে ভারত সেবাশ্রম সংঘ। সংঘের প্রধান সম্পাদক স্বামী বিশ্বাত্মানন্দ মহারাজের নেতৃত্বে জলবন্দি গ্রামগুলিতে ত্রাণ পৌঁছে দেওয়ার কাজ শুরু হয়েছে। সংঘের প্রধান সম্পাদক জানান কাপুরা নদীর বাঁধ ভেঙে কয়েকশো পরিবার ভেসে গেছে। বেশিরভাগ মানুষই আশ্রয় নিয়েছেন এলাকার স্কুল বাড়িতে। দুর্গত মানুষদের মধ্যে শুকনো খাবারের পাশাপাশি রান্না করা খাবার বিতরণের কাজ শুরু হয়েছে।
