মালদা-আম রেশমের জেলা হিসেবে পরিচিত মালদহ। মালদহের রেশম জগৎ বিখ্যাত। উন্নত মানের রেশম পৃথিবীর বিভিন্ন দেশে রপ্তানী করা হয়। রেশমজাত সামগ্রীকে বাজারজাত করতে এবার উদ্যোগ নিল মালদহ জেলা প্রশাসন। এনিয়ে মঙ্গলবার জেলা প্রশাসনিক ভবনে একটি জরুরী বৈঠক সারেন মালদহ জেলাশাসক নীতিন সিঙ্গানিয়া। এই বৈঠকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন জেলার রেশম চাষী থেকে শুরু থেকে করে উদ্যোগপতিরা। পাশাপাশি উপস্থিত ছিলেন রেশম ও সিল্ক দফতরের আধিকারিকেরা। প্রসঙ্গত,২০১৯ সালে মালদহে প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক থেকে সিল্ক পার্কের উদ্বোধন করেন তিনি। ২.৭ একর জমির উপর তৈরি হয়েছে মালদহ সিল্ক পার্ক। শিল্ক পার্ক তৈরি হওয়ায় রেশম চাষীদের কাছে ব্যবসার এক নতুন দিগন্ত খুলে যায়। এ বিষয়ে মালদহ জেলাশাসক নীতিন সিঙ্গানিয়া জানান, সিল্ক পার্ক চালু করতে বিশেষ উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়েছে। এনিয়ে একটি বৈঠকের আয়োজন করা হয়। শীঘ্রই চালু হবে মালদহ সিল্ক পার্ক।
