নিজস্ব প্রতিনিধিঃ সম্প্রতি দক্ষিণ কলকাতা কলাকুশলী আয়োজিত নাট্য আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হল তপন থিয়েটার কনফারেন্স হলে। আলোচ্য বিষয় ছিল – বাংলা নাটকের ভবিষৎ ও বর্তমান প্রজন্মের কাছে নাটকের গ্রহণযোগ্যতা । উক্ত সভায় অতিথি বক্তা হিসাবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সনামধন্য নাট্যকার ও পরিচালক উজ্জ্বল চট্টোপাধ্যায় ও থিয়েটার সমালোচক এবং চলচ্চিত্র নির্মাতা ও নির্দেশক শান্তনু সাহা । সভার শুরুতে সংস্থার সাধারণ সম্পাদক সুদর্শন দাস এই আলোচনা সভার উদ্দেশ্য ও উপকারিতা সম্পর্কে সংক্ষিপ্ত বক্তব্য পেশ করেন । সংস্থার পক্ষ থেকে দুই অতিথি বক্তাদের সংবর্ধনা প্রদান করে আলোচনা সভার মূল পর্ব শুরু হয় । প্রথম বক্তা হিসাবে শান্তনু সাহা তার সুদীর্ঘ বক্তব্য বলেন । এই দীর্ঘ সময়ের মধ্যে অনেক সময় নাটকের উত্থান পতন ঘটেছে বিভিন্ন সামাজিক ও প্রাকৃতিক কারণে তা যুদ্ধই হোক বা মহামারী । কিন্তু নাটকের গতি কখনো থেমে থাকেনি । ব্যক্তিগত আর্থিক উন্নয়নের জন্য হয়তো কেউ কেউ বিকল্প পথ বেছে নিয়েছেন তাতে হয়তো বা নাটকের গতি খানিকটা শ্লথ হয়েছে কিন্তু নব উদ্দ্যোগী মানুষের প্রচেষ্টায় আবার সেই খামতি পূরণ হয়েছে । কিন্তু তিনি আশাবাদী বাংলা নাটকের উজ্জ্বল ভবিষৎ নিয়ে ।
প্রধান বক্তা হিসাবে বিশিষ্ট নাট্যকার উজ্জ্বল চট্টোপাধ্যায় বলেন – বর্তমান সময়ে দাঁড়িয়ে বাংলা নাটকের ভবিষৎ কি সেটা বলা খুব কঠিন তবে আর্থিক উন্নয়নের স্বার্থে বিকল্প সাংস্কৃতিক ভাবনা ও ঝোঁক নাটকের গতিকে খানিকটা শ্লথ করতে পারে ।
নব প্রজন্ম যে নাটক থেকে মুখ ঘুরিয়ে নিয়েছে সেটাও বলা যাবে না । বহু দলে অনেক প্রযোজনা আছে সেখানে কচি – কাঁচাদের আধিক্যই বেশী । আসলে বর্তমান প্রজন্মের সন্মুখে সারা দুনিয়ার নাট্য জগত এবং তারা তুল্যমূল্য বিচারে অনেক বেশী পারদর্শী । তবে তাদের ভাবনা আমরা যদি আমাদের প্রযোজনার মধ্য দিয়ে স্পর্শ করতে পারি তবে নিশ্চয়ই তারা নাটকে এগিয়ে আসবে । পূর্ণ দর্শকবেষ্টিত সভাঘরে বিভিন্ন প্রশ্নের উত্তর দেন অতিথি বক্তারা । দর্শকরাও বিষয় ভিত্তিক আলোচনার মাধ্যমে তাদের মতামত ব্যক্ত করেন এবং পরিতৃপ্ত হন । সবশেষে সঞ্চালক ড: সৌরভ চন্দ্র বলেন – আমরা নাটককে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে বদ্ধপরিকর । নাটকের মধ্যে দিয়ে আমাদের ভাবনার প্রকাশ ঘটুক এই আমাদের উদ্দেশ্য ।
দক্ষিণ কলকাতা কলাকুশলী নাট্য জগতে একটি পরিচিত নাম । বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে এবং নাটক মঞ্চায়নের মাধ্যমে সংস্কৃতি চেতনা জাগিয়ে তোলার যে প্রয়াস চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে তা উত্তরোত্তর বৃদ্ধি ঘটুক এই আমরা আশা করি ।
Recently, a drama discussion meeting was held at Tapan Theatre Conference Hall organized by South Kolkata Kalakushali. The topic of discussion was the future of Bengali drama and the acceptance of drama to the present generation. Noted playwright and director Ujjal Chatterjee and theatre critic and filmmaker and director Santanu Saha were present as guest speakers at the meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, the organization’s general secretary Sudarshan Das made a brief speech about the purpose and benefits of this discussion. The main phase of the discussion began with a reception to the two guest speakers on behalf of the organization. As the first speaker, Shantanu Saha gave his long speech. During this long period, many times the rise and fall of drama has occurred due to various social and natural reasons, whether it is war or epidemic. But the pace of the play never stopped. Some may have chosen an alternative path for personal financial development, or the pace of the drama may have slowed down a bit, but with the efforts of the new entrepreneurs, that gap has been filled again. But he is optimistic about the bright future of Bengali drama.
Speaking as the keynote speaker, eminent playwright Ujjal Chattopadhyay said, “It is very difficult to say what is the future of Bengali drama in the present time, but in the interest of financial development, alternative cultural ideas and inclinations can slow down the pace of drama a bit. It cannot be said that the new generation has turned away from the drama. There are many productions in many groups, there is a lot of raw- raw. In fact, in front of the present generation, the drama world of the whole world and they are much more adept in terms of equal value. But if we can touch their thoughts through our productions, then surely they will come forward in the play. Guest speakers answered various questions in the meeting room surrounded by full spectators. The audience also expresses their views through topic-based discussions and is satisfied. At the end, the host Dr. Saurabh Chandra said, “We are determined to take the drama forward. It is our purpose to express our thoughts through drama. South Kolkata is a well-known name in the world of art and drama. We hope that the efforts that are being made to awaken the spirit of culture through various programs and through the staging of plays will continue to grow.
