গোপাল বিশ্বাস, নদীয়াঃ সাংস্কৃতিক ও বিজ্ঞান গণ-আন্দোলনের কর্মী দীপক চক্রবর্তীকে শিলিগুড়ি থানা কর্তৃক গ্রেপ্তারের প্রতিবাদে, পুলিশ লক-আপে ও জেল হেফাজতে বন্দীদের ওপর অত্যাচারের প্রতিবাদে, সুবিচারের আশায় দীর্ঘ দিন আইনি লড়াই চালিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য সুপ্রিম কোর্টের লজ্জাজনক ও অগণতান্ত্রিক রায় ও তাকে হাতিয়ার করে সমাজকর্মী ও সাংবাদিক তিস্তা শীতলাবাদ সহ অন্যদের পুলিশের সন্ত্রাস দমন শাখা দ্বারা প্রতিহিংসা মূলক গ্রেফতারের প্রতিবাদে, সাংবাদিক ও অল্ট নিউজের সহ প্রতিষ্ঠাতা মহাম্মদ জুবেইরের গ্রেফতারের প্রতিবাদে, সমাজকর্মী ও গণ আন্দোলনের কর্মীদের ওপর রাষ্ট্রীয় সন্ত্রাসের প্রতিবাদে আজ এপিডিআর-র নবদ্বীপ শাখা (প্রস্তুতি কমিটি)-র পক্ষ থেকে নবদ্বীপের রাধাবাজার মোড়ে এক পথসভার আয়োজন করা হয়। পথসভায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন মানবাধিকার আন্দোলনের কর্মী মৌতুলী নাগসরকার এবং রাহুল চক্রবর্তী। তাঁর দীর্ঘ বক্তিতায় উঠে আসে রাজ্য তথা দেশের আইনি ব্যবস্থার ভঙ্গুরতা এবং রাষ্ট্র কর্তৃক নাগরিকদের অত্যাচারের বাস্তব ছবি। নবদ্বীপ শাখার পক্ষ থেকে বক্তব্য রাখেন বীণা বিশ্বাস এবং প্রতাপ চন্দ্র দাস। মৌতুলি নাগসরকার বলেন, “আমাদের দেশে প্রতিনিয়ত সমাজকর্মী, বিজ্ঞানকর্মী, মানবাধিকার কর্মীদের বেআইনিভাবে জোর করে জেলে ভরা হচ্ছে যা সংবিধানবিরোধী এবং গণতন্ত্রের লজ্জা।” বিজ্ঞান ও যুক্তিবাদী আন্দোলনের কর্মী প্রতাপ চন্দ্র দাস বলেন, “রাষ্ট্র প্রতিনিয়ত বিজ্ঞান ও যুক্তিবাদী আন্দোলনের কর্মীদের, সমাজকর্মীদের কণ্ঠ রোধ করার চেষ্টা চালাচ্ছে, প্রশাসনিক নিয়ম না মেনেই প্রশাসনিক কর্তারা যাকে তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করছে। নাগরিকের স্বাধীনভাবে মতপ্রকাশের অধিকারকে হরণ করে জেল হেফাজতে রাখা হচ্ছে। আমাদের দাবি নিঃশর্তে সকল রাজনৈতিক বন্দীদের মুক্তি দিতে হবে এবং গণতান্ত্রিক পরিবেশ রক্ষা করতে হবে।”
