গোপাল বিশ্বাস,নদীয়া-ঃ ৪ঠা সেপ্টেম্বর২২, নবদ্বীপ। নবদ্বীপ শহরের হেরিটেজ কমিশন দ্বারা স্বীকৃতি প্রাপ্ত ও অন্যতম প্রাচীন বিদ্যালয় নবদ্বীপ হিন্দু স্কুল। এবছর তার সার্ধ শত তম বর্ষ উদযাপন উপলক্ষে বছর ভর বিভিন্ন কর্মসূচী নেওয়া হয়েছে বিদ্যালয়ের তরফে। সেই অনুষ্ঠানের অঙ্গ হিসেবে এদিন সকালে নবদ্বীপ বুড়োশিব তলা রোডে হিন্দু স্কুল প্রাঙ্গণে আয়োজন করা হয় সারা বাংলা দাবা প্রতিযোগীতা। জানা যায় , এদিন প্রায় ১২০ জন দাবাড়ু এই প্রতিযোগীতায় অংশ গ্রহণ করেছেন। এদিনের অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন রাজ্যের মন্ত্রী স্বপন দেবনাথ, নবদ্বীপের বিধায়ক পুণ্ডরীকাক্ষ সাহা, নবদ্বীপ থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত আধিকারিক অভিজিৎ চ্যাটার্জী, নবদ্বীপ পৌর সভার পৌরপতি বিমান কৃষ্ণ সাহা ,স্কুলের প্রধান শিক্ষক সুখেন্দু রায় , গ্র্যান্ড মাষ্টার দিব্যেন্দু বড়ুয়া সহ বহু বিশিষ্ট ব্যাক্তিগণ। এদিন দাবা প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে বক্তারা বলেন লেখাপড়ার সাথে সাথে খেলাধুলায় মন দেওয়ার জন্য সকল দাবা খেলোয়াড় সহ প্রত্যেকের প্রতি আহ্বান জানান। পাশাপাশি দিব্যেন্দু বড়ুয়া বলেন বর্তমানে বহু যুব সমাজ খেলা ধুলার থেকে বেশী মোবাইলে আসক্তি হয়ে পরেছে, এতে সকলের ক্ষতি, এর জন্য অভিভাবকদের আরও দায়িত্বশীল হয়ে সন্তান দের মাঠমুখি বা পড়াশোনার পাশাপাশি কোন খেলা ধুলায় মনো নিবেশে উৎসাহিত করতে হবে। তিনি আরও বলেন খেলাধূলা শারীরিক ও মানসিক দিক থেকেও অনেক এগিয়ে দেয় জীবনে।
Gopal Biswas, Nadia: September 4, 22, Nabadwip. Nabadwip Hindu School is one of the oldest schools recognized by the Heritage Commission of The City of Nabadwip. This year, the school has taken various programs throughout the year to celebrate its 150th year. As part of that program, the All Bengal Chess Competition was organized on the premises of Hindu School on Nabadwip Buroshib Tala Road this morning. It is learned that about 120 chess players took part in this competition on this day. State Minister Swapan Debnath, Nabadwip MLA Pundrikaksha Saha, Officer-in-Charge of Nabadwip Police Station Avijit Chatterjee, Nabadwip Municipality Mayor Biman Krishna Saha, School Headmaster Sukhendu Roy, Grand Master Dibyendu Barua and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion. Speaking at the chess competition, the speakers urged everyone, including all chess players, to focus on sports along with studies. Besides, Dibyendu Barua said that at present, many young people have become more addicted to mobile than sports, it is a loss to everyone, for this, parents have to be more responsible and encourage the children to focus on any sports along with field or studies. He also said that sports also gives a lot of progress in life physically and mentally.
