তমলুক ১৫.৯.২২; গুজরাটে ২০০২ সালে পাঁচ মাসের অন্তঃসত্ত্বা বিলকিস বানোর উপর গণধর্ষণ ও তার তিন বছরের শিশু কন্যা সহ পরিবারের সাতজনকে হত্যা করেছিল, যে ১১ জন এই নারকীয় ধর্ষণ এবং হত্যাকাণ্ড চালিয়েছিল গুজরাট আদালত তাদের যাবজ্জীবন কারাদন্ডে দণ্ডিত করে। অত্যন্ত উদ্বেগের যে গত ১৫ ই আগস্ট সাজাপ্রাপ্ত ১১ জন আসামিকে গুজরাট সরকার মুক্তি দিয়েছে। এরই প্রতিবাদে সারাদেশ জুড়ে অল ইন্ডিয়া মহিলা সাংস্কৃতিক সংগঠনের নেতৃত্বে আন্দোলনে সামিল হয়। সাজাপ্রাপ্ত ১১ জন অপরাধীকে আমৃত্যু কারাদন্ডের দাবিতে সুপ্রিম কোর্টের প্রধান বিচারপতিকে পোস্ট কার্ডে জনসাধারণের স্বাক্ষর সহ দাবি পত্র আজ তমলুক হেড পোস্ট অফিসে মিছিল করে প্রায় তিন হাজার স্বাক্ষর নিয়ে পোস্টমাস্টারের হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হয়। আজ দুপুরে তমলুক রাজাবাজার থেকে সুসজ্জিত মিছিল সংগঠিত হয়ে হেড পোস্ট অফিসে আসে। এই কর্মসূচিতে নেতৃত্ব দেন অল ইন্ডিয়া মহিলা সাংস্কৃতিক সংগঠনের জেলার সহ-সভাপতি শীলা দাস, সম্পাদক মন্ডলীর সদস্য বেলা পাঁজা, প্রতিমা অধিকারী, রীতা ওঝা সহ অন্যান্যরা। শীলা দাস বলেন, বিজেপি সরকার বেটি বাঁচাও বেটি পড়াও স্লোগান দিচ্ছে, অন্যদিকে দেশে নারী নির্যাতনের ঘটনা ক্রমবর্ধমান। সাথে সাথে বিলকিস বানোর ধর্ষণকারী ১১ অপরাধীকে যেভাবে মুক্তি দেওয়া হলো, তা অত্যন্ত লজ্জার। আমরা এই দোষীদের অবিলম্বে পুনরায় শাস্তির দাবি জানাচ্ছি। এই দাবিতে সুপ্রিম কোর্টের প্রধান বিচারপতির কাছে আজ তমলুক এই এলাকার ২০০০ মানুষের স্বাক্ষর সম্মানিত পোস্ট কার্ড তমলুক পোস্ট অফিসের মাধ্যমে পাঠালাম।
