তমলুকঃ বাঙালির পূজো মানে পোশাকে রংবেরঙের ঝলকানি আর আধুনিকতার স্পর্শ। কিন্তু যারা দুস্ত অসহায় তাঁদের কি হবে ? তারা তো বছরে আট-দশটা পোশাক তো দূরের কথা একটি পোশাক কিনতেই দশবার ভাবেন। তবে কি তাহলে এ বছরও তাদের পুরনো পোশাকে ই পুজো কাটিয়ে দিতে হবে। তাই এই সমস্ত মানুষদের কথা ভেবেই পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরের তমলুকের বিভিন্ন ওয়ার্ড থেকে আসা দুস্থ অসহায় মানুষদের হাতে পুজোর বস্ত্র ও মিষ্টির প্যাকেট তুলে দেন তমলুকের ১০ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের কাউন্সিলর তথা পশ্চিমবঙ্গ প্রদেশ যুব তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সহ-সভাপতি পার্থসারথি মাইতি। এদিন তমলুকের এক আনুষ্ঠানিক গৃহে প্রদেশ যুব তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের পক্ষ থেকে পুজোর পোশাক বিতরণের জন্য ক্ষুদ্র প্রচেষ্টার আয়োজন করেন তাঁরা। এদিন এক হাজার মানুষের হাতে পুজোর বস্ত্র তুলে দেন তাঁরা। এবং এই বস্ত্র পেয়ে বিজয় খুশি হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরে যায়।
