মালদাঃ আম গাছের ডাল কাটার প্রতিবাদ করায় আক্রান্ত এক যুবক। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে ইংলিশ বাজার থানার খাশিমারী এলাকায়। আক্রান্ত যুবকের নাম গৌতম দাস। বর্তমানে তিনি মালদা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন। আক্রান্ত যুবকের অভিযোগ, এদিন সকালে তাদের বাগানে আম গাছের ডাল কাটছিল প্রতিবেশী নীরেন ঘোষ। প্রতিবাদ করায় নীরেন ঘোষ ধারালো হাঁসুয়া নিয়ে তার ওপর চড়াও হয়। তাকে বেধড়ক মারধর করা হয়। হুমকি দেওয়া হয় প্রাণনাশের। এই ঘটনায় ইংলিশ বাজার থানায় একটি লিখিত অভিযোগ দায়ের করা হয়েছে বলে জানা গেছে।
Malda: A young man was attacked for protesting the cutting of branches of a mango tree. The incident took place in Khashimari area of English Bazar police station. The victim’s name is Gautam Das. He is currently undergoing treatment at Malda Medical College Hospital. The victim alleged that niren Ghosh, a neighbour, was cutting the branches of a mango tree in their garden this morning. As he protested, Niren Ghosh attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon. He was brutally beaten. He was threatened with death. A written complaint has been lodged at English Bazar police station in this regard.
