মালদা: প্রেমে প্রত্যাখ্যান। আত্মঘাতী দশম শ্রেণীর এক ছাত্র। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে ইংলিশ বাজার থানার রামকেলি এলাকায়। জানা গেছে মৃত ওই ছাত্রের নাম ঘনশ্যাম ঘোষ। স্থানীয় গৌড়ীয় হাই স্কুলের দশম শ্রেণীর ছাত্র ছিল সে। মৃত ছাত্রের পরিবারের অভিযোগ, স্থানীয় একটি মেয়েকে দীর্ঘ তিন বছর ধরে ভালো বাসত সে। মেয়ের বাড়ির পরিবার তা মেনে না নেওয়ায় একাধিকবার তার ছেলে এবং তাদের পরিবারের সদস্যদের মারধর করা হয়েছে। সোমবার রাত্রেও মারধর করা হয় বলে অভিযোগ। এই কারণে আত্মঘাতী হয় ওই ছাত্র বলে অভিযোগ। মঙ্গলবার সকালে ঘরের ভেতর থেকে ওই ছাত্রের ঝুলন্ত মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে পরিবারের সদস্যরা। এরপর মৃতদেহ ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য মালদা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে নিয়ে আসা হয়। ঘটনায় ব্যাপক চাঞ্চল্য ছড়িয়েছে।
Malda: Rejection in love. A class 10 student committed suicide. The incident took place in Ramkeli area of English Bazar police station. The deceased student’s name is Ghanshyam Ghosh. He was a class 10 student of the local Gaudiya High School. The family of the deceased student alleged that he loved a local girl for three long years. Her son and their family members were beaten up multiple times as the girl’s family did not accept it. He was also allegedly beaten up on Monday night. It is alleged that the student committed suicide due to this. On Tuesday morning, the family members recovered the hanging body of the student from inside the house. Later, the body was taken to Malda Medical College Hospital for autopsy. There has been a huge uproar in the incident.
