মালদা: মালদাহের মহদীপুর ভারত বাংলাদেশ সীমান্তে অনুষ্ঠিত হল এক বিরাট বস্ত্রদান এবং সাংস্কৃতিক ও বিচিত্রা অনুষ্ঠান। কলকাতা থেকে আগত সংগীত শিল্পী অঙ্কিতা ভট্টাচার্য এবং সুজয় ভৌমিক এই বিচিত্রা অনুষ্ঠানে অংশ নেন। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিধায়ক তথা জেলা সভাপতি আব্দুর রহিম বক্সি, বিধায়ক সাবিত্রী মিত্র, বিধায়ক চন্দনা সরকার, ৭০ নম্বর বিএসএফ ব্যাটেলিয়ানের কোম্পানি কমান্ডেন্ট সঞ্জয় শর্মা, মালদা জেলা পরিষদের কর্মাধ্যক্ষ প্রতিভা সিংহ, ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সভাপতি লিপিকা বর্মন ঘোষ, মালদা মার্চেন্ট চেম্বার অফ কমার্সের সভাপতি জয়ন্ত কুন্ডু, সম্পাদক উত্তম বসাক, বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষ সহ অন্যান্যরা। জানা যায় প্রতিবছরই শ্যামা কালী পূজা উপলক্ষে মহদীপুর সিএনএফ এজেন্ট ওয়েলফেয়ার অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের উদ্যোগে এবং মহদীপুর এক্সপোর্ট অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সহযোগিতায় আয়োজন করা হয়ে থাকে এই বিরাট বস্ত্র দান এবং বিচিত্রা অনুষ্ঠানের। তারই অঙ্গ হিসাবে বৃহস্পতিবার রাত্রে ভারত বাংলাদেশ সীমান্তের মহদিপুর বেসিক বিদ্যালয় মাঠে আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল এই অনুষ্ঠানের। কয়েক হাজার অসহায় মানুষদের মধ্যে শীত বস্ত্র বিতরণ করা হয় এদিন। পরে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় সাংস্কৃতিক এবং বিচিত্রা অনুষ্ঠান। কলকাতা থেকে আগত সংগীতশিল্পী তথা সারেগামাপার উইনার অঙ্কিতা ভট্টাচার্য তার সুরাল কন্ঠে বিভিন্ন গান পরিবেশন করেন। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন সংগীতশিল্পী সুজয় ভট্টাচার্য।

It is known that every year on the occasion of Shyama Kali Puja, this huge cloth donation and bichitra ceremony is organized by the Mahdipur CNF Agent Welfare Association and in collaboration with the Mahdipur Export Association. As part of this, the event was organized on Thursday night at the Mahadipur Basic School ground on the Indo-Bangladesh border. Winter clothes were distributed among thousands of helpless people on this day. Later, cultural and cultural programs were held. Ankita Bhattacharya, a musician from Kolkata and winner of Saregamapa, performed various songs in her sural voice. Singer Sujoy Bhattacharya was also present.
