কলকাতা, ২০২৩: শিল্পের পাশাপাশি সমাজের শিক্ষা ব্যাবস্থা কে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার ইচ্ছা থাকে, তখন এক নতুন ভবিষ্যতের জন্ম নিতে শুরু করে। দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে শিক্ষার হারকে ছড়িয়ে দিতে সাই গ্রুপের সিএসআর শাখা সুপার শক্তি ফাউন্ডেশন চেস্টা করে চলেছে। আজ পশ্চিম বর্ধমানের জামুড়িয়ার দামোদরপুর আদিবাসী গ্রামে এক শিক্ষাকেন্দ্রের আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্ভোদন করে তারা। গ্রামে এই প্রথম কোন শিক্ষা কেন্দ্র তৈরি করা হয়েছে। যা পেয়ে গ্রামবাসীরা অত্যন্ত খুশি। আনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন, সংস্থার দুই ডিরেক্টর শ্রী সুদীপ্ত ভট্টাচার্য, শ্রী চেতন ইয়াগ্নিক, সিএসআর নোডাল অফিসার শ্রী ইসান্ত জৈন সহ অন্যান্যরা।
৯০০ বর্গফুটের এই শিক্ষা কেন্দ্রে দুটি ক্লাস রুম রয়েছে। শিক্ষা কেন্দ্রটিতে সমস্ত মৌলিক সুযোগ-সুবিধা রাখা হয়েছে। প্রাথমিকভাবে ৫ থেকে ১৫ বছর বয়সী শিক্ষার্থী এখানে পড়াশুনো করতে পারবে। বর্তমানে ৪০ জন শিক্ষার্থী এখানে পড়তে আসবে, এমনটাই জানিয়েছে কতৃপক্ষ। ওই ছাত্রছাত্রীদের পড়ানোর জন্য রয়েছেন ২ জন শিক্ষক এবং দেখাশোনার জন্য একজন কেয়ারটেকার। শিক্ষকদের বেতন, শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য দুপুরের খাবার, বই এবং অন্যান্য বিবিধ খরচ সহ কেন্দ্রের সমস্ত রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ ও পরিচালনার খরচ বহন করবে ফাউন্ডেশন । সুপারশক্তি ফাউন্ডেশন এই শিক্ষা কেন্দ্র তৈরি করতে ২৩ লক্ষ টাকা খরচ করেছে এবং আগামীতে যে সমস্ত খরচ হবে তা বহন করবে সংস্থাই, জানিয়েছেন তারা। গ্রামে মোট পরিবারের সংখ্যা ২৫০টি। সমস্ত পরিবারই তফসিলি উপজাতি সম্প্রদায়ের। গ্রামবাসীদের মাত্র ২৬ শতাংশই শিক্ষিত। কাছাকাছি সরকারি স্কুল থাকলেও গ্রামের অনেক ছেলেমেয়েরা দারিদ্র্যের অভাবে ভালো শিক্ষকের সংস্পর্শে আসতে পারে না। সুপারশক্তি ফাউন্ডেশন এই গ্রামের কথা জানতে পেরে সেখানে একটি শিক্ষা কেন্দ্র করার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়। প্রধান উদ্দেশ্যে একটাই,- শিক্ষার প্রসার।
Kolkata, 2023: A new future begins to take shape when there is a will to advance the education system of the society along with the industry. Sai Group’s CSR arm, Super Shakti Foundation, is trying to spread education to different parts of the country. Today they formally inaugurated an educational center in Damodarpur tribal village of Jamuria in West Burdwan. This is the first time that an education center has been established in the village. The villagers are very happy. Two directors of the organization Mr. Sudipta Bhattacharya, Mr. Chetan Yagnik, CSR Nodal Officer Mr. Isant Jain and others were present on the occasion. This 900 square feet education center has two class rooms. The educational center is equipped with all basic facilities. Initially students aged 5 to 15 years can study here. At present 40 students will come to study here, said the authority. There are 2 teachers to teach those students and a caretaker to look after them. The foundation will bear all maintenance and running costs of the center including teachers’ salaries, lunch for students, books and other miscellaneous expenses. Supershakti Foundation has spent Rs 23 lakh to build this educational center and all future expenses will be borne by the organization, they said. The total number of families in the village is 250. All the families belong to Scheduled Tribe communities. Only 26 percent of the villagers are literate. Although there are government schools nearby, many children in the village are unable to come in contact with good teachers due to poverty. Supershakti Foundation came to know about this village and decided to set up an education center there. The main objective is only one – spread of education.
