ভাইফোঁটার দিনে জীবন্ত গাছকে ফোটা দিয়ে সবুজকে ধ্বংসের হাত থেকে রক্ষার বার্তা যুগবার্তা পরিবারের।

গোপাল বিশ্বাস -ঃ-নদীয়া-ঃ ভাইফোঁটার দিনে অভিনব কর্মসূচি, গাছকে ফোটা দিয়ে গাছের প্রাণ রক্ষার বার্তা। বুধবার ভাইফোঁটা, প্রত্যেক বোনেরা বা দিদিরা পরিবারের ভাইদের ফোঁটা দিয়ে তাদের মঙ্গল কামনা করে। ঠিক তেমনি শান্তিপুরের যুগবার্তা পরিবার এক অন্য নজির গড়লেন। শান্তিপুর বাগআঁচড়া অঞ্চলের একটি আমবাগানে গাছ লাগান প্রাণ বাঁচান এছাড়াও সমাজের বিভিন্ন সচেতনতামূলক বার্তা নিয়ে এক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে। উপস্থিত ছিলেন একাধিক প্রবীণ ব্যক্তি থেকে শুরু করে যুগবার্তা পরিবারের একাধিক সদস্য। এছাড়াও বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন এক বিএসএফ জওয়ান সুজয় সাঁতরা। অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্যে দিয়ে ভাইফোঁটার সমস্ত রীতি মেনে আম গাছকে ফোটা দিলেন তারা। যুগবার্তা পরিবারের অন্যতম সদস্য সঞ্জিত কাষ্ঠ জানিয়েছেন, তারা সারা বছরই সমাজের একাধিক সচেতনতামূলক বার্তা নিয়ে বেরিয়ে পড়েন রাজ্য তথা দেশের যেকোন প্রান্তে, এরপর বৃক্ষরোপন কর্মসূচি করে। কিন্তু এখনো সবুজকে ধ্বংসের হাত থেকে রক্ষা করা সম্ভব হয়নি, কারণ প্রতিনিয়ত জীবন্ত গাছগুলিকে কেটে তাদের হত্যা করা হচ্ছে আর প্রকৃতি ভারসাম্য হারাচ্ছে। ভবিষ্যতে সবুজকে যদি ধ্বংসের হাত থেকে রক্ষা না করা যায় তাহলে ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে মানব জাতি। তারা এও জানিয়েছেন, সমাজের প্রত্যেকটি মানুষের উচিত তাদের সাধ্যমত বৃক্ষরোপণ করা। তবে ভাই ফোঁটার দিনে যুগবার্তা পরিবারের এই উদ্যোগকে সাধুবাদ জানিয়েছে শান্তিপুরের একশ্রেণীর বুদ্ধিজীবীরা।
