গোপাল বিশ্বাস,নদীয়া-ঃ নবদ্বীপ পৌরসভার ১১ ও ২২ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের সংযোগস্থলে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে রাস্তার ধারেই বাজার বসছিলো। এতে সাধারণ মানুষের দীর্ঘদিন ধরে চলাচলের অসুবিধার সম্মুখীন হতে হচ্ছিল। নবদ্বীপ পৌরসভার বিষয়টি নজরে আসতেই এর বিকল্প ব্যবস্তার কথা চিন্তা করে। উল্লেখ্য এই বাজারে এলাকার স্থানীয়দের পাশাপাশি অন্যান্য এলাকার থেকেও বহু মানুষ বিভিন্ন দ্রব্য সামগ্রী বিক্রি করতে আসেন। পৌরসভা বিকল্প পথ হিসেবে নবদ্বীপ পৌরসভার ১১ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের ফাঁসিতলা প্রতিমা নিরঞ্জন ঘাট সংলগ্ন এলাকায় বিষ্ণুপ্রিয়া পৌর বিপণন মার্কেটের নির্মান করে, যা চলতি বছরের ফেব্রুয়ারী মাসে উদ্বোধন হয়, কিন্তু তা ব্যাবসায়ীদের মধ্যে বিতরণ করা হয় নি। এদিন তা লটারির মাধ্যমে ব্যবসায়ীদের মধ্যে স্টলগুলি বন্টন করা হলো। পাশাপাশি এই ফাঁসিতলা ঘাট সংলগ্ন এলাকাতেই একটি শিশুদের জন্য শিশু উদ্যান চালু করা হলো। এলাকায় শিশুদের জন্য এমন একটি পার্কের দাবি ছিল দীর্ঘ দিন ধরেই। এদিনের এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন নবদ্বীপের বিধায়ক তথা রাজ্যের প্রাক্তন মন্ত্রী পুন্ডরীকাক্ষ সাহা, ছিলেন নবদ্বীপ পৌরসভার পৌরপতি বিমান কৃষ্ণ সাহা, এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন সেখানকার স্থানীয় কাউন্সিলর সহ এলাকার মানুষ জন। এদিনের এই অনুষ্ঠানে নবদ্বীপ পৌরসভার পৌরপতি বিমানবাবু বলেন, শিশুদের এই পার্কে ১২ বছরের উর্ধ্বে প্রবেশ না করে পাশাপাশি তিনি আরও বলেন নবদ্বীপের ২৪ টি ওয়ার্ডকে এভাবেই সাজিয়ে তোলার কাজ চলছে বেশির ভাগটাই প্রায় শেষ। তিনি নবদ্বীপ শহরবাসীর কাছে অনুরোধ করেন পরিষ্কার পরিচ্ছন্নতা বজায় রাখুন এবং প্লাস্টিক বর্জন করুন। সব মিলিয়ে নবদ্বীপ পৌরসভার এহেন উদ্যোগে খুশি সকলেই।

It is to be noted that in this market, along with the locals of the area, many people from other areas also come to sell various products. As an alternative route, the municipality constructed the Vishnupriya Municipal Marketing Market in the area adjacent to the Hanging Floor Idol Niranjan Ghat in ward number 11 of Nabadwip Municipality, which was inaugurated in February this year, but was not distributed among the traders. On this day, the stalls were distributed among the traders through lottery. Besides, a children’s park for children has been opened in the area adjacent to this hanging ghat. There has been a demand for such a park for children in the area for a long time. The event was attended by Nabadwip MLA and former state minister Pundarikaksha Saha, Mayor of Nabadwip Municipality Biman Krishna Saha, who was also present on the occasion, along with the local councilors and people of the area. Speaking on the occasion, Biman Babu, the mayor of The Nabadwip Municipality, said that the children did not have to enter the park above the age of 12 years and also said that the work of decorating the 24 wards of Nabadwip in this way is going on, most of the work is almost complete. He urged the people of Nabadwip to maintain cleanliness and shun plastic. All in all, everyone is happy with this initiative of the Nabadwip Municipality.
