ইন্দ্রজিৎ আইচঃ গল্প হলেও সত্যি। এ যেন এক বিস্বয়কর ব্যাপার। গতকাল এবং আজ দুদিন ধরে woodlands হসপিটালে পদ্মশ্রী স্বামী শিবানন্দর স্বাস্থ্য পরীক্ষা হলো। তার বয়স ১২৬ বছর। এটাই বাস্তব এটাই বিস্বয়। এত বছর আজ পর্যন্ত কোনো মানুষ পৃথিবীতে বাঁচেননি। কিন্তু তিনি বেচেঁ আছেন সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ দেহে। আজ এই হসপিটাল তাকে নিয়ে এক সাংবাদিক সম্মেলন করে। তার ডাক্তার এস সি গড়াই জানালেন ১৮৯৬ সালের ৮ ই আগস্ট তিনি বাংলাদেশ এর শ্রীহট্ট গ্রামে জন্ম গ্রহণ করেন। তার বাবা মা মারা যাবার পর সন্ন্যাস নিয়ে ভারতে চলে আসেন। তিনি বারাণসী তে আশ্রম করেন। তিনি শুধু মাত্র তেল নুন চিনি ছাড়া সব সেদ্ধ সবজি খান। মাছ, মাংস, ডিম, দুধ ও ফল খান না। প্রতিদিন ভোর ৩ টে ওঠেন। প্রাণায়াম করেন। হাঁটেন। বই পড়েন। আশ্রম এ সবার সাথে কথা বলেন। এমনকি প্রান্তিক মানুষ দের সেবা করেন। সারাদিন কাজ করেন। রাত ৯ টায় ঘুমোতে যান। তিনি এই দুদিন এই হসপিটালে ছিলেন। গত বছর নভেম্বরে এখানে তার হেল্থ চেকাপ হয় । এই বছরও সব রকম টেস্ট হয়। এই হসপিটালের হেল্থের প্রধান ডাক্তার সৌতিক পাণ্ডা জানালেন বাবাজি র বার্ধক জনিত দু;একটি সমস্যা ছাড়া আর কোনো সমস্যা নেই। তিনি নিজে জামাকাপড় পরিষ্কার করেন। নিজে খান। নিজে সব কাজ করেন। এই হসপিটাল এর অ্যাডমিনিস্ট্রেশনের প্রধান ডাক্তার সৌমিত্র চট্টোপাধ্যায় জানালেন স্বামী শিবানন্দ মহারাজের এখানে সব রকম ব্লাড টেস্ট থেকে সিটি স্কান , এক্সরে, ই সি জি, সব পরীক্ষা হয়েছে। তিনি এখন পুরোপুরি সুস্থ। শুধু আস্তে কথা বলেন ও কানে কম শোনেন। এই টুকুই সমস্যা। সব মিলিয়ে ১২৬ বছর বয়সী স্বামী শিবানন্দ মহারাজ গিনিজ বুক অফ ওয়ার্ল্ড এ নাম টি ওঠার অপেক্ষায়….।
Indrajit Aich: The story is true. It’s like a strange thing. Padma Shri Swami Sivananda underwent a health check-up at Woodlands Hospital for two days yesterday and today. He is 126 years old. That’s the reality. No man has ever lived on earth for so many years. But he is alive in a completely healthy body. Today, the hospital held a press conference with him. His doctor, S.C. Gorai, said he was born on August 8, 1896, in srihatta village of Bangladesh. After the death of his parents, he came to India with a monk. He holds an ashram in Varanasi. He only eats all boiled vegetables except oil and salt sugar. Do not eat fish, meat, eggs, milk and fruit. Get up at 3 a.m. every day. Do pranayama. walk. Read the book. Talk to everyone at the ashram. He even serves the marginalized. Working all day. Go to bed at 9 p.m. He was in the hospital for two days. He underwent a health checkup here in November last year. This year, there are all kinds of tests. Dr Soutik Panda, head of health at the hospital, said Babaji had no other problem than a couple of old age-related problems. He cleans his own clothes. Eat yourself. He does all the work himself. Dr Soumitra Chatterjee, head of administration of the hospital, said swami Shivanand Maharaj has undergone all kinds of blood tests to CT scan, X-ray, ECG, etc. He is now completely healthy. Just talk slowly and listen less in the ears. That’s the problem. All in all, 126-year-old Swami Shivanand Maharaj is waiting for the name to appear in the Guinness Book of World.
