সুমাল্য মৈত্রের রিপোর্টঃ বারাসাত দুই নম্বর ব্লকের খামার পাড়া গ্ৰাম পঞ্চায়েতের ছবি । ভোট এখানে শান্তিপূর্ণ ভাবেই হচ্ছে । সাধারণ মানুষের সাথে কথা বলে জানা গেছে বারাসাত দুই নম্বর ব্লকের খামার পাড়া গ্ৰাম পঞ্চায়েতে ভোট পড়েছে ৩৫ শতাংশর মতো। তবে হাইকোর্টের নির্দেশে পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচনে বিভিন্ন বুথে যে আধা সামরিক বাহিনীর দেওয়ার কথা ছিলো তা কিন্ত দেওয়া হয় নি। বরং কাজ চলছে সিভিক ভলেন্টিয়ার্স এবং রাজ্য পুলিশ দিয়েই। ভোট ঘিরে বারাসাত দুই নম্বর ব্লকের খামার পাড়া গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতে কোনো ঝামেলার খবর নেই । ভোট আসে ভোট যায় কখনো-সখনো বা চিত্র একই থাকে আবার চিত্র বদলে যায়। আজ আটই জুলাই পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচনের ঢাকে কাঠি পড়ে গেছে শুরু হয়ে গেছে গ্ৰামে গ্ৰামে পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচন । মোটের ওপর বারাসাত দুই নম্বর ব্লকে বিভিন্ন জায়গায় চোখে পড়ছে বন্ধুত্বের পরিবেশ । বিরোধী শাসক দলের বিভিন্ন প্রার্থীরা একসাথে বসে খোস গল্প করছেন । জনসাধারণের সাথে কথা বলে জানা গেছে বারাসাত দুই নম্বর ব্লকের কীর্তিপূর গ্ৰাম পঞ্চায়েতে সকাল থেকে ভোট পড়েছে কুড়ি শতাংশ । ভোট দাতাদের মধ্যে বেশ উৎসাহ দেখা গেছে।তবে কীর্তিপুর নবীন চন্দ্র হাই স্কুলে দেখা মেলেনি কোনো আধা সামরিক বাহিনীর । কাজ চলছে সিভিক ভলেন্টিয়ার্স এবং রাজ্য পুলিশ দিয়েই । রোহোন্ডা হাই স্কুল এবং বীরপুর অবৈতনিক প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় এই দুটো স্কুলেই আধা সামরিক বাহিনীর দেখা পাওয়া গেছে আর কোনো বুথেই দেখা পাওয়া যায় নি।
