মালদা: মানুষের জন্য কাজ করেছি, এলাকা জুড়ে অভূতপূর্ব উন্নয়ন করেছি। তাই মানুষ আমাদের পাশে ছিল। মালদার কাজী গ্রাম গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের ২৭ ও ২৮ নম্বর আসন থেকে বিপুল ভোটে জয়ী হয়ে জানালেন জাকির হোসেন এবং মাইনুল সেখ। জাকির বাবু আরো জানান, মানুষের রায়ে এই নিয়ে গত চারবারের নির্বাচিত মেম্বার হলেন তিনি। আগামী পাঁচ বছর অবশিষ্ট যা কাজ রয়েছে তা ঘরে ঘরে পৌঁছে দিবো। উল্লেখ্য মালদার ইংলিশ বাজার ব্লকের ১১ টি গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের মধ্যে চমক ছিল এই কাজী গ্রাম গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত। একাধিক আসনে নির্দল প্রার্থী ছিল। সকলের নজরে ছিল এই গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত কি ধরে রাখতে পারবে রাজ্যের শাসক দল তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস। শেষমেষ শেষ হাসি হাসলো তৃণমূল। কাজিগ্রাম গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের ৩০ টি আসনের মধ্যে ১৮ টি আসন দখল করল রাজ্যের শাসক দল তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস। অন্যদিকে বিজেপি পেয়েছে ছয়টি আসন, নির্দল পেয়েছে চারটি আসুন এবং কংগ্রেস পেয়েছে দুটি আসন।

The ruling Trinamool Congress won 18 of the 30-gram panchayat seats in the state. The BJP, on the other hand, won six seats, independents four, and Congress two.
