কলকাতা, অক্টোবর, ২০২৩: একটি হৃদয়স্পর্শী উদ্যোগে, প্রত্যাশা ১৭ ই অক্টোবরে কলকাতায় বৃদ্ধ বৃদ্ধাদের জন্য একটি বিশেষ দিন আয়োজন করেছে। এই ঘটনাটি, যা সঠিকভাবে ‘দাদু দিদার পুজো পরিক্রমা’ নামে পরিচিত। এই কলকাতা শহরের অনেক কোনায় কোনায় কত বৃদ্ধ বৃদ্ধা শুধু বয়সের কারণে দুর্গা পূজার মতো দিনে মা র মুখ টুকু দেখতে পান না, তাদের কথা ভেবেছে প্রত্যাশা।
দাদু দিদার চোখে কলকাতার সেরা ৮ টি পুজোকে “শারদ সম্মান” পুরষ্কার দেওয়া হবে, যা বিশেষ অতিথি দের দ্বারা প্রদান করা হবে। শোনা যাচ্ছে এই উদ্যোগকে সাধুবাদ জানিয়ে এগিয়ে এসেছেন টলিপাড়ার কিছু অভিনেতা এবং জনপ্রিয় ইউটিউবাররা। সাত ভাই চম্পা খ্যাত রুদ্র প্রমিতা, অভিনেতা আয়ুশ, আজকের জনপ্রিয় সঙ্গীত শিল্পী কেশব দে, ইউটিউবর শমীক অধিকারীও প্রমুখ ।এই মন ছোঁয়া ধারণা নিয়ে সমাজের জ্ঞান এবং অভিজ্ঞতা চিহ্নিত করার সাথে তাদের সত্যিই বিশেষ অনুভব করতে সাহায্য করবে।
নীলাদ্রি ব্যানার্জী, এই ভাবনার প্রধান উপদেষ্টা এবং আন্তর্জাতিক মানবাধিকার এবং অ্যান্টি ক্রাইম অর্গানাইজেশনর বর্তমান যুব প্রেসিডেন্ট, এই ইভেন্টের লক্ষ্য প্রকাশ করেছেন, বলেন, “আমরা সাধারণভাবে বয়স্ক লোকের দিকে বেশি করে চোখ রাখি, অনেকে মনে করে তারা বয়সের কারণে আমাদের মতো আর ঠাকুর দেখতে পারবেন না তাই তাদের বাড়িতেই রেখে দিয়ে আমরা ঘুরে বেড়াই, আমরা সেই বাঁধ টাই ভাঙতে চাই। আমরা একটু চেষ্টা করলে, তাদের একটু সঙ্গ দিলে তারাও পারবে “।
এই উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে প্রত্যাশা আশা করে, এটি শুধুমাত্র একবারের ঘটনা নয়, বরং সমবায়ী সমাজে একটি প্রশাস্তর সামাজিক পরিবর্তনে এবং বয়স্ক লোকের সাংস্কৃতিক উৎসবে সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণের দিকে একটি পদক্ষেপ। এটি একটি মনে রাখার মতো ইভেন্ট, যে কোনো আনন্দ অবসর্পন করার জন্য বয়স যেনো বাধা না হয় ।
Kolkata,October 2023: প্রত্যাশা organised a day that fosters joy and happiness to all the dadus and didas on 17th October in Kolkata at all the famous Pandals locations, hence, the event ‘দাদু দিদার পুজো পরিক্রমা.’ The Event is organised by প্রত্যাশা who strive to address pressing issues, support those in need, and contribute to the betterment of society, is to offer senior citizens the opportunity to relive the joy of pandal hopping after nearly a decade.

One of the members of প্রত্যাশা, Niladri Banerjee, Current Youth President of the International Human Rights and Anti-Crime Organisation says “We tend to overlook the elderly, assuming that they are too old to participate in activities like pandal hopping. Our goal is to challenge this misconception and promote inclusivity by demonstrating that, with the right support and enthusiasm, our senior citizens can relive cherished experiences and create new memories.”
We hope to encourage the broader societal shift towards inclusivity and involvement of the elderly in cultural festivities through this initiative.
