Kolkata, October 31, 2023 – SOLACE GROUP OF COMPANIES, a distinguished ISO 9001:2015 certified organization, is proud to announce the commencement of a groundbreaking campaign aimed at addressing the critical issue of Menstruation Hygiene Management (MHM) in schools, with a particular focus on students in Class VIII and IX. This initiative responded to the global evidence of a significant lack of guidance, facilities, and materials available to schoolgirls to manage their menstruation effectively. The absence of these resourced constitutes a neglected public health, social, and educational issue, demanding prioritization and coordinated efforts.
The primary objective of this campaign was to raise awareness about the challenges faced by schoolgirls during menstruation and the potential risks and consequences associated with the lack of proper MHM education. Many girls remain uneducated in the field of facilitating accurate and sufficient information and practice on MHM.
Sanjib Kundu, Head – Operations at SOLACE GROUP OF COMPANIES, emphasized the true essence of this campaign, stating, “Our main goal and motto for this project extend beyond the mere distribution of free sanitary napkins. We aspire to educate and encourage girls to incorporate sanitary napkin usage as a regular habit. To achieve this, we will actively involve them in various cultural activities and events.”
