নিজস্ব সংবাদ: গত 7-1-24 ভবানীপুর থানায় একটি ডেপুটেশন জমা দিল ভিকি শাহুর পরিচিত পরিজন সহ দিদি ও দাদারা। একইসঙ্গে ভবানীপুর শাহু-সমাজ, নীতিসংঘ ও নবারুণ সংঘ এই ডেপুটেশন জমায় শামিল ছিল। প্রসঙ্গত জানিয়ে রাখি, এই ভিকি শাহুকে অনেকেই জানেন একজন সমাজ-সেবীরূপে, পাশাপাশি তিনি ভবানীপুর ৭১ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের তৃণমূল ক্রীড়া সেলের প্রেসিডেন্টও। আমাদের কাছে খবর আছে – 2024-এর বর্ষবরণের রাতে একটি হোটেলে খাবার খেতে গেলে খাবার আসতে দেরি বা বিলম্বকে কেন্দ্র করে হোটেল মালিক পক্ষের সাথে ভিকি ও তার সঙ্গী সাথীদের বচসা তৈরি হয় ও তারপর খাবার না খেয়ে তারা হোটেল থেকে বেরিয়ে আসলে হোটেলের মালিক ও তার দল ভিকি ও ভিকির সঙ্গী-সাথীদের ওপর লোহার রড ও হকির-স্টিক নিয়ে চড়াও হয়। তারপর যা ঘটলো তার জন্য আজও ভিকি হাসপাতালের বিছানায়। প্রসঙ্গত ভিকি ও তার পরিবারের তরফ থেকে ভবানীপুর থানায় লিখিতভাবে জানায় ঘটনাটি ও এফআইআর হয় কিন্তু আজ পর্যন্ত থানার তরফ থেকে কোনওরকম তৎপরতা দেখা না যাওয়ায় বা অপরাধীকে গ্রেপ্তার না করায় তারা গণডেপুটেশন জানায় ভবানীপুর থানায়। থানার বড়বাবু সর্বতোভাবে তাদের সহযোগিতা করে আসল অপরাধীকে অতি শীঘ্র গ্রেফতারের অঙ্গীকার করায় থানা চত্বর থেকে সবাই বিদায় নেয়।
