মালদাঃ বাজারে আলুর দাম নিয়ন্ত্রণে আগামী দশই মে জেলার সমস্ত হিমঘরগুলি খুলে দেওয়া হবে। এর ফলে বাজারে পর্যাপ্ত পরিমাণ আলো মিলবে। এই নিয়ে জেলার হিমঘর মালিকদের উপস্থিতিতে এক বৈঠক অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে গেল মঙ্গলবার ইংলিশ বাজারের যদুপুর এলাকায়। মালদা জেলার কমবেশি ১৫ ব্লকেই আলু চাষ হয়। জেলার অর্থনীতির একটা বড় অংশ নির্ভর করে আলু চাষে। তাই কৃষকরা যাতে লাভবান হয় বাজারে আলুর দাম নিয়ন্ত্রণে থাকে তার জন্য মালদা জেলা প্রশাসনের সহযোগিতায় মালদা কোল্ড স্টোরেজ ওনার্স এসোসিয়েশন সমস্ত হিমঘর গুলি খুলে দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করল। এই মর্মে মঙ্গলবার শহরের যদুপুর এলাকায় এক বৈঠক অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বৈঠকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন জেলার সমস্ত হিমঘর কর্তৃপক্ষ। এই বিষয়ে জেলা ব্যবসায়ী নেতা, শিল্পদ্যোগী তথা সংগঠনের সভাপতি উজ্জ্বল সাহা জানান, মাননীয় মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় কোল্ড স্টোরেজগুলিকে বাঁচানোর যে উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে তারই অঙ্গ হিসাবে আমরা জেলা প্রশাসনের সহযোগিতায় আগামী দশই মে হিমঘরগুলি খুলে দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি। হিমঘরে মজুদ রাখা আলু চাষিরা বাজারজাত করতে পারবে। এর ফলে কৃষকরা যেমন লাভবান হবে ঠিক অন্যদিকে বাজারে আলুর দাম নিয়ন্ত্রণে থাকবে বলে জানান উজ্জ্বল বাবু।
Malda: All cold stores in the district will be opened on May 10 to control the price of potatoes in the market. As a result, a sufficient amount of light will be available in the market. A meeting was held in the presence of the cold store owners of the district on Tuesday in the Jadupur area of English Bazar. Potatoes are grown in about 15 blocks of Malda district. A major part of the district’s economy depends on potato cultivation. Therefore, Malda Cold Storage Owners Association in collaboration with Malda District Administration has decided to open all the cold storage in order to benefit the farmers and control the price of potatoes in the market. A meeting was held in the Jadupur area of the city on Tuesday in this regard. All the cold storage authorities of the district were present at the meeting. In this regard, the district business leader, industrialist, and the president of the organization Ujjal Saha said, as part of the initiative taken by the Honorable Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to save the cold storage, we have decided to open the cold storage in the 10th of May with the cooperation of the district administration. Potatoes stored in cold storage can be marketed by farmers. Ujjwal Babu said that as a result of this the farmers will benefit and the price of potatoes will be under control in the market.
