কলকাতা, 17 জুন 2023: শ্রী জগন্নাথ সেবা সমিতির সাংস্কৃতিক শাখা উৎকলা 20শে জুন থেকে 28শে জুন পর্যন্ত রথযাত্রা এবং ওড়িশা উত্সব উদযাপনের ঘোষণা করেছে৷ 20 জুন খিদিরপুর জগন্নাথ মন্দির থেকে নর্দান পার্ক, ভবানীপুর পর্যন্ত একটি বর্ণাঢ্য রোডশো (রথযাত্রা) দিয়ে উদযাপন শুরু হবে যেখানে 28 জুন সকাল পর্যন্ত দেবতারা থাকবেন। রোডশোতে পুরুলিয়া ছৌ নাচের দল এবং সরকার দ্বারা স্পনসর করা শ্রী খোলা টিমের পরিবেশনা থাকবে। পশ্চিমবঙ্গ এবং I & B বিভাগ সরকার ভারতের ওড়িশা উৎসব ঘোষণা করে, শ্রী জগন্নাথ সেবা সমিতির সভাপতি শ্রী চন্দ্র সেখর পানিগ্রাহী বলেছেন, “ওড়িশা উৎসব 21শে জুন 2023 তারিখে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মাননীয় রাজ্যপাল শ্রী সি ভি আনন্দ বোস উদ্বোধন করবেন।” আট দিনব্যাপী এই উৎসবে বেশ কিছু পরিবেশনা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। দর্শনার্থীরা ওডিশার হস্তশিল্পের ঝলক দেখতেও সক্ষম হবেন যা এই অনুষ্ঠানে প্রদর্শন করা হবে।” শিল্প ও সংস্কৃতিতে অসামান্য অবদানের জন্য 2003 সাল থেকে প্রতি বছর উৎকল সম্মান প্রদান করা হয় এই বছর বিশিষ্ট গায়ক শ্রী দেবাশিস মহাপাত্র, বিশিষ্ট ওড়িয়া গায়ককে প্রদান করা হবে। এছাড়াও অন্যান্য স্বনামধন্য শিল্পীদের সঙ্গে পারফর্ম করবেন তিনি। শ্রী কাসিনাথ বেহেরা (অবসরপ্রাপ্ত আইএএস), সভাপতি, উৎকলা সমিতির আরও বিশদ বিবরণ দিয়ে “জগন্নাথ ইন বেঙ্গল আইজ” বইটি উন্মোচন করা হবে ঝুমারের উপর উৎকল স্যুভেনির এবং অ্যালবাম।
ওডিশা উৎসবের আট দিনে, ময়ূরভঞ্জের প্রজেক্ট ছাউনি ছৌ নৃত্য পরিবেশন করবে এবং রায়রংপুরের শ্রী সুভাষ পাত্র ও ট্রুপ ঝুমুর গান পরিবেশন করবে। এছাড়াও, ওড়িশা সরকার দ্বারা স্পনসরকৃত নবজীবন নাট্যশাস্ত্রের একটি শাস্ত্রীয় নৃত্য অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। শ্রীমতী মীরা দাস ও দল ওক-এর শিল্পীদের ভজন সন্ধ্যা অনুষ্ঠানের সাথে একটি নৃত্য অনুষ্ঠানও পরিবেশন করবে। 25শে জুন শহরের বিভিন্ন স্কুলের স্কুলের শিশুদের মধ্যে ভারতীয় শাস্ত্রীয় নৃত্য প্রতিযোগিতা ছাড়াও, বিশিষ্ট ভজন গায়ক/বলিউড গায়িকা সাধনা সরগম এবং তার দল 25 তারিখ সন্ধ্যায় একটি ভজন সন্ধ্যা পরিবেশন করবে। এদিন ঐতিহ্যবাহী খিরি-পিঠা প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। উত্সব সম্পর্কে ইতিবাচকভাবে কথা বলতে গিয়ে, শ্রী অসীম কুমার বোস, নর্দার্ন পার্ক, 70 নং ওয়ার্ড, কেএমসি, ভবানীপুরের সম্মানিত কাউন্সিলর বলেছেন, “আমি অত্যন্ত উচ্ছ্বসিত যে এই বছর ওডিশা উৎসব আমাদের এলাকায় হচ্ছে৷ রথযাত্রার দিন ভগবান জগন্নাথ, বলভদ্র এবং দেবী সুভদ্রা নর্দান পার্কে 9 দিন থাকার জন্য আসছেন। রথযাত্রার পর আমরা আমাদের এলাকায় মন্দির নির্মাণের পরিকল্পনা করছি। ভগবানের কৃপায়, মন্দিরটি নির্মিত হতে পেরে আমি আনন্দিত। আমরা গত বছর কাজ শুরু করার চেষ্টা করেছি। কিন্তু যেমন বলা হয়, আপনি যেতে পারবেন না এবং ঈশ্বরের কাছে আশীর্বাদ চাইতে পারবেন না যতক্ষণ না তিনি আপনাকে ডাকেন। এবং অবশেষে, আমি মনে করি সর্বশক্তিমান এই বছর আসতে রাজি হয়েছেন। এই ওয়ার্ডের মানুষের জন্য এটি একটি বড় আশীর্বাদ এবং আমি চাই প্রত্যেকেই তাদের হৃদয়ের গভীর থেকে প্রভুর কাছে আশীর্বাদ চাই। 27 শে জুন 2023 তারিখে সমাপনী অনুষ্ঠানটি পুরস্কার বিজয়ীদের পরিচয় দিয়ে শুরু হবে এবং তারপরে পুরস্কার বিজয়ীদের নৃত্য পরিবেশন করা হবে।

Kolkata, 17th June 2023: Utkala, the cultural wing of Sri Jagannath Seva Samiti announced the celebration of the Ratha Yatra and Odisha Festival from June 20th to June to 28th June.
The celebrations will start on 20th June with a colourful roadshow (Rath Yatra) from Khidirpur Jagannath Temple to Northern Park, Bhawanipur where the deities will stay till the morning of 28th June. The roadshow will have performances by the Purulia Chhau Dance Troup and Shri Khola Team sponsored by Govt. of West Bengal and the I & B Dept. Govt. of India.
Announcing the Odisha Festival, Mr Chandra Sekhar Panigrahi, President, Sri Jagannath Seva Samiti said, “The Odisha Festival will be inaugurated on 21st June 2023 by Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal Sri C V Anand Bose.” A number of performances will take place in the eight-day festival. Visitors will also be able to have glimpses of Odisha handicrafts that will be on display on the occasion.”
Utkala Samman conferred every year since 2003 on personalities with outstanding contributions to Art and Culture will be conferred this year to renowned Singer Mr Debashis Mohapatra, the prominent Odia singer. He will also perform along with other well-known artists.
Elaborating further Sri Kasinath Behera (Retired IAS), President, Utkala Samiti The book “Jagannath in Bengal Eyes” Utkala Souvenir & Album on JHUMAR will be unveiled. In the eight days of the ODISHA Festival, project Chhauni from Mayurbhanj will perform Chhou Dance and Sri Subhash Patra & Troupe from Rairangpur will perform Jhumur songs. Besides, a classical dance programme by Navajiban Natya Sastra sponsored by the Govt of Odisha will take place. Smt Meera Das & Troupe will also perform a dance programme along with the Bhajan Sandhya programme by Artists of OAK.
On 25th June apart from the Indian classical Dance competition among school children from different schools of the city, eminent Bhajan Singer / Bollywood singer Sadhana Sargam and her Team will perform a Bhajan Sandhya on the 25th evening. A traditional Khiri-Pitha competition will be held on this day.
Speaking positively about the festival, Mr Ashim Kumar Bose, Hon Councillor of Northern Park, Ward No 70, KMC, Bhawanipore says, “I am extremely elated that this year Odisha Festival is happening in our locality. On the day of Rath Yatra Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Devi Suvadra are coming to stay for 9 days at Northern Park. After the Rath Yatra, we are planning to build a temple in our area. By god’s grace, I am glad that the temple will be built. We tried to start the work last year. But as it is said, you can’t go and seek blessings from God until he calls you. And finally, I feel Almighty has agreed to come this year. This is a big blessing for the people of this ward and I want everyone to seek blessing from Prabhu from the bottom of their hearts.”
The Closing ceremony on 27th June 2023 will be started with the introduction of prize winners followed by dance performances by the prize winners.
