কলকাতা, ১০ অক্টোবর, ২০২৩: এই বছর মহম্মদ আলী পার্কের যুব সমিতি, উত্তরাখণ্ডে অবস্থিত কেদারনাথ মন্দিরকে দুর্গা পুজোর থিম হিসেবে প্রতিস্থাপন করছে। মধ্য কলকাতার সবচেয়ে জনপ্রিয় এই দুর্গা পুজোকে শহরের দুর্গা পুজোর অন্যতম বিশেষ এবং বিখ্যাত পুজো হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা হয়। তারা এ বছর দুর্গাপুজো উদযাপনের ৫৫ বছর পূর্ণ করবে।
বাংলার ভক্তরা সর্বদা বাবা কেদারনাথের দর্শন পেতে আগ্রহী। মাত্র কয়েকজন সৌভাগ্যবান মানুষ বাবার দরজায় পৌঁছতে সক্ষম হয়, কিন্তু কলকাতার মানুষের জন্য সুখবর হল বাবা কেদারনাথ দর্শনের জন্য তাঁদের শহরে আসছেন। কেদারনাথ মন্দির হল উত্তর ভারতের অন্যতম পবিত্র তীর্থস্থান, যা সমুদ্রপৃষ্ঠ থেকে ৩৫৮৪ মিটার উচ্চতায় মন্দাকিনী নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত। কেদারনাথ মন্দির উত্তরাখণ্ডের চর ধাম ও পঞ্চ কেদারের একটি অংশ এবং ভারতে ভগবান শিবের ১২টি জ্যোতির্লিঙ্গের একটি।
গণমাধ্যমের সাথে কথা বলতে গিয়ে মিঃ সুরেন্দ্র কুমার শর্মা, মহম্মদ আলী পার্ক দুর্গা পুজো যুব সমিতির সাধারণ সম্পাদক বলেন, “আমরা কেদারনাথ মন্দিরের প্রতিরূপ নির্মাণের ধারণা নিয়ে এসেছি কারণ আমাদের মধ্যে অনেকেই কেদারনাথে যাননি এবং এই প্যান্ডেলের মাধ্যমে তাঁরা ওই মন্দিরের আভাস পেতে পারেন। পবিত্র মন্দির হিসেবেই এই মন্ডপকে তাঁরা অনুভব করতে পারেন যে শিবের বারোটি জ্যোতির্লিঙ্গের একটির দর্শন হচ্ছে। প্যান্ডেলের বাইরের চেহারা অবিকল কেদারনাথ মন্দিরের মত হচ্ছে। এ বছর মায়ের প্রতিমা রূপে দেখানো হবে ‘শিব শক্তি’। দেবী মায়ের এই মূর্তি তৈরি করছেন মেদিনীপুরের বিখ্যাত কারিগর কুশ বেরা। থিম অনুযায়ী আলোকসজ্জা চন্দননগরের।”
মোঃ আলি পার্কের যুব সংঘ সম্পর্কে: মধ্য কলকাতার সবচেয়ে জনপ্রিয় দুর্গাপুজোগুলির মধ্যে একটি যা প্রত্যেককে অবশ্যই দেখতে হবে তা হল মহম্মদ আলি পার্ক দুর্গাপুজো। প্রতি বছর এটি মন্ডপের ক্ষেত্রে দুর্দান্ত স্থাপত্য প্রদর্শন করে। মহম্মদ আলী পার্ক দুর্গাপুজো সমিতি বিভিন্ন বিভাগে বেশ কয়েকটি পুরস্কার জিতেছে এবং তাই এটি কলকাতার অন্যতম মর্যাদাপূর্ণ দুর্গাপুজো হিসেবেও বিবেচিত হয় যা ১৯৬৯ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত যুব সমিতি দ্বারা আয়োজিত হয়। এটি উত্তর ও মধ্য কলকাতার সবচেয়ে মর্যাদাপূর্ণ ক্লাবগুলির মধ্যে একটি।
Kolkata, 11th October 2023: This year Youth Association of Mohammad Ali Park brings forward an unimaginable theme Kedarnath Temple located in Uttarakhand. The most popular Durga Puja in Central Kolkata is considered to be one of the oldest and renowned venues for Durga Puja in the city. They will be completing the 55th year of Durga Puja celebrations this year.
His devotees are always eager to have the darshan of Baba Kedarnath. Only a few lucky people are able to reach Baba’s door, but the good news for the people of Kolkata is that Baba Kedarnath is coming to their city for darshan. Kedarnath temple is one of the sacred pilgrimage centres in Northern India, located on the bank of Mandakini River at an altitude of 3584 meters above sea level. Kedarnath temple is a part of Char Dhams and Panch Kedar in Uttarakhand and one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in India.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Surendra Kr. Sharma, General Secretary of the Youth Association of Mohammad Ali Park Durga Puja said, “We came up with the idea of constructing the replica of Kedarnath temple because of the fact that many of us have not visited Kedarnath and through this pandal, they can have holy shrine and they can feel that they are doing Darshan of one of the twelve jyotirlingas of Shiva. The outer look of the pandal is exactly how the Kedarnath temple looks. This year, ‘Shiva is Shakti’ will be shown in the form of Mother’s idol. This idol of Mother Goddess is being made by the famous craftsman Kush Bera of Midnapur. According to the theme, the lighting is from Chandan Nagar.”

Ali Park: One of the most popular Durga Pujas of Central Kolkata that one must visit is the Mohammad Ali Park Durga Puja which is held every year and showcases magnificent architecture. The Mohammad Ali Park Durga Puja Samity has won several awards in different categories and hence it is also considered as one of the prestigious Durga Puja in Kolkata which is organized by the Youth Association established in 1969. This is one of the most prestigious clubs in North & Central Kolkata.
