গোপাল বিশ্বাস -নদীয়াঃ ফের একবার নবদ্বীপের একটি বেসরকারি নার্সিংহোম ও ডাক্তারের বিরুদ্ধে চিকিৎসার গাফিলতি ও তাতে এক মহিলার মৃত্যর অভিযোগে উত্তাল হলো নবদ্বীপ। জান যায় মৃত মহিলার নাম- দীপা মিশ্র, বয়স আনুমানিক বাইশ বছর, স্বামীর নাম-সুরজিৎ মিশ্র বাড়ী – নবদ্বীপ শহরে হরিসভাপাড়া, এলাকায়। পরিবার সুত্রে জানা যায় প্রসুতি জনিত কারনে গত ০১/১০/২৩ এ নবদ্বীপ শহরে মতিরায়বাধ এলাকায় সুমতি ভিলা নামক বেসরকারি এক নাসিং হোমে ভর্তি করা হয়, ও এক পুত্র সন্তান জন্ম দেওয়ার পর শারীরিক অবস্থার অবনতি হয়। ও নার্সিংহোম কতৃপক্ষ মৃতের পরিবারকে বলে অন্যত্র স্থানান্তর করতে, পরিবারের তরফে ঐ মহিলাকে নদীয়ার রানাঘাটে মনোরমা নাসিং হোমে ভর্তি করা হলে তার মৃত্যু হয়, ও সেখান থেকে মৃতের পরিবারকে জানানো মৃত মহিলার শরীরের কোন অর্গান সিজার কর সময় কাটা পড়েছে, তার ফলেই এই ঘটনা। মৃতের পরিবারের অভিযোগ নবদ্বীপে বেসরকারি নার্সিংহোমের ডাক্তারের ভুল চিকিৎসার কারণে মৃত্যু হয়েছে, এই অভিযোগ তুলে বুধবার রাত আনুমানিক ন” টা নাগাদ, নবদ্বীপের ঐ বেসরকারি নার্সিংহোমের সামনে মৃতদেহ রেখে বিক্ষোভ দেখান পরিবারের তরফে, তাদের দাবী অবিলম্বে নার্সিংহোম কতৃপক্ষ ও ডা কে সামনে এসে কেন এ ধরনের ভুল চিকিৎসা হলো ও তাদের পরিবারের সদস্যের মৃত্যু হলো বলতে হবে, পাশাপাশি মৃতের পরিবারের দাবী রানাঘাটের মনোরমা নার্সিং হোমে মৃত্যুর কারন হিসেবে সাধারণ মৃত্যু উল্লেখ করেছে, যেখনে মৃতের পরিবারের তরফে ভিডিও গ্রাফির মাধ্যমে পোস্ট মর্ডাম করিয়েছে,
মৃতের পরিবারের তরফে সামগ্রিক ঘটনা তথা চিকিৎসার গাফিলতির ঘটনা চাপা দিতে নার্সিং হোম কতৃপক্ষ একে অপরে মিলে গেছে। যদিও এই ঘটনার খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে যায় নবদ্বীপ থানার আইসি, সহ বিশাল পুলিশ বাহিনী, পরে পুলিশের হস্তক্ষেপে পরিস্থিতি স্বাভাবিক হয়।
